Mica band heaters are made of a resistive wire or band insulated between two mica plates. This assembly is protected by an aluminium sheet with high corrosion and heat resistance. Designed for a maximum operating temperature of 350°C, these band heaters can be manufactured in one or several parts to facilitate installation and for large diameters. They are equipped with a screw fixing device and with threaded terminals, plug or cables for electrical connection. As an option, mica band heaters can be offered as a waterproof version for diameters ≤ 80 mm with a thermocouple or with drilled holes or notches.
